The presence of God's Spirit in the life of believers is a profound source of comfort and guidance. According to John 14:26, the Holy Spirit is given to believers as a helper, teaching them all things and reminding them of Jesus' words. In 1 Corinthians 2:9-13, the Spirit is described as revealing the depths of God's wisdom to those who have received Him. Jesus also promised that the Spirit would testify about Him, as seen in John 15:26, and would guide believers into all truth, as stated in John 16:13, a promise that is contingent upon Jesus' departure, as noted in John 16:7. Through the Spirit, God comforts and empowers His people.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.
Rather, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father—He will testify about Me.
However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.
But I tell you the truth, it is for your benefit that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.
I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it. However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Why should you be afraid of mortal man, of a son of man who withers like grass?
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.
