9 Bible Verses on The Tribulation

9 verses

A period of unprecedented distress and suffering is prophesied in Scripture, during which God's judgment will be poured out upon the world. According to Matthew 24:21 and Daniel 12:1, this time will be marked by extreme trouble and persecution, testing the faith of believers. Jesus warned His disciples to expect tribulation, but also to take heart, for He has overcome the world, as stated in John 16:33. The book of Revelation describes a future time when believers who have endured will reign with Christ, as seen in Revelation 20:4-6, and 1 Thessalonians 4:17 looks forward to the day when believers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were complete. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. ’ At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him. ”
