9 Bible Verses on Trusting in God

9 verses

In times of uncertainty and struggle, the Bible encourages believers to place their trust in God's sovereignty and goodness. According to Proverbs, this means acknowledging the limits of human understanding and surrendering to God's guidance. The book of Hebrews affirms that God is unchanging and faithful, deserving of our trust and confidence, as seen in the examples of faithful heroes in Hebrews 11. The Psalms express the joy and peace that come from trusting in God, who is a rock and refuge, while Philippians reminds us that through faith, we can overcome any challenge.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. He is like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year of drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
