Psalms 128

1 Blessed [happy, fortunate] are all who fear [reverence, have awe for] the LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God], who walk [follow, journey] in His ways [paths, manner of life]! word study 2 For when you eat [devour, consume] the fruit [produce, result] of your labor [toil, hard work], blessings [happiness, prosperity] and prosperity [well-being, welfare] will be yours [happy, blessed]. word study 3 Your wife [like a fruitful vine] will be like a fruitful vine [producing abundant spiritual fruit] flourishing within your house [the innermost parts of your home], your sons [children, descendants] like olive shoots [new growth, young plants] sitting around your table [a place of communion, fellowship]. word study 4 In this way [thus, in this manner] indeed shall blessing [divine favor, prosperity] come to the man [great man] who fears [reveres, is afraid of] the LORD [Yehovah, the Lord God] [the one who worships and honors Him]. word study 5 May the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] bless [praise or honor] you from Zion [the mountain in Jerusalem], that you may see [look after, provide for] the prosperity [goodness, beauty] of Jerusalem [the city of peace] all the days [every moment, the entirety] of your life [physical and spiritual existence], word study 6 that you may see [behold, look upon] your children’s children [grandchildren, descendants]. Peace [shalom, completeness and wellness] be upon [rest on, over] Israel [God’s chosen people, the descendants of Jacob]! word study
