Context — Hanani’s Message to Asa
8Were not the Cushites and Libyans a vast army with many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, He delivered them into your hand.
9For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him. You have acted foolishly in this matter. From now on, therefore, you will be at war.” 10Asa was angry with the seer and became so enraged over this matter that he put the man in prison. And at the same time Asa oppressed some of the people.Cross References

2 Chronicles 16:8 Summary
[This verse reminds us that when we trust in the Lord, He can help us overcome even the toughest challenges, like King Asa did when he faced the large army of the Cushites and Libyans. The Lord delivered them into Asa's hand because he relied on Him, as seen in 2 Chronicles 14:9-15. This teaches us to always trust in the Lord's power and provision, just like it says in Psalm 37:3-7, to trust in Him and do good, and He will give us the desires of our heart. By relying on the Lord, we can experience His deliverance and strength in our lives, no matter what we face.]
