Deuteronomy 26:13 Summary
[This verse is about being honest with God and with ourselves about how we are using the things He has given us. The Israelites were supposed to give a tenth of their produce to the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and then declare that they had done so, as a way of acknowledging God's ownership and provision, as seen in Deuteronomy 14:28-29 and Malachi 3:10. By doing this, they were recognizing that everything belongs to God and that we are just stewards of His resources. This is still an important principle for us today, as we are called to be faithful stewards of all that God has given us, as taught in 1 Corinthians 4:2 and Matthew 25:21.]
