24. 1 John 5:1 - "Whosoever Believeth."

"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God."

"Whosoever" reveals the free will of all mankind.  Did God make a mistake?  Should He have written "the elect that believeth?"  Is the philosophy of election in error, or is God?

"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." - Psalms 118:8
