Noah was not the only man who could have built an ark. Many men might have built arks that would look like the one Noah built. But God was behind the ark that Noah built and did not ordain any other. In the building of this ark only one kind of timber was used. One door made and one window given. One family was to live in the ark. All were safe in the ark, for God had promised to protect them. All were lost out¬side the ark because God had not only promised salvation from the water to certain people, but he had located that salvation in the ark. He had marked the boundary lines as far as said salvation should extend, and all parties outside of said boundary lines were outside of the saving power of God; for God had located his saving power, hence they were lost.
