- This was the dedication of the altar.] It seems plain, that both the altars were now dedicated: because the great quantity of incense, here presented, was to be offered on the golden altar, as the flesh of the beasts was on the great brasen altar; though the latter alone is mentioned as principal, agreeably to the common use of the sacred writings. Thus magnificently did the tribes of Israel, in a religious
