Genesis 42:9

And he it was that sold to all the people of the land.

Ye are spies, and are come to mark what parts of the land are least defenced.

Genesis 42:13

Thy servants are twelve brethren, &c. And, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.

It need not seem suspicious to thee, that we come thus so many together of a company; for the cause is, that we are all so many brethren, &c. And one is dead.

Genesis 42:16

Or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.

Or else, as sure as Pharaoh liveth, ye are but spies.

Genesis 42:36

Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

Joseph is dead, and Simeon is in danger to miscarry in prison, and now you will take Benjamin from me; all these are heavy afflictions, which you have brought upon me.
