The remainder of the Book contains a minute description of the construction of the several parts of the tabernacle, the sacred utensils, and the priests’ garments; also an account of the amount of gold, silver and brass consumed; the erection and consecration of the tabernacle; and the consecration of Aaron and his sons (xxxvi. 8-xxxix. 32). On the completion of all the required arrangements, the “cloud,” the symbol of Jehovah’s presence, descends upon the tabernacle; and it henceforth directs the movements of the Israelites through all their journeyings (xl. 33-38).
