Their priests and prophets have persecuted the Lord’s prophets, and have ruined the nation by flattering them in their sins. They formerly wandered from God’s law in acts of violence and murder, and now they cannot walk in the streets without polluting themselves by dead bodies. —Yea, every one, even the heathens, abhor them as unclean lepers, or persons too despicable to live on the earth
