Psalms 93
SIBREFLECTIONS UPON PSALM XCIII.—Solid and believing views of Jesus Christ are excellent means to subdue the pride, and remove the fear, of man. They, who have him for their King and Keeper, have no reason to be moved from their stedfastness. No earthly dishonours need disquiet those who have Christ, the Lord of all, to be their Father and Portion. No troubles need dismay those who are by grace made one with the King eternal. No changes need discontent them who have God’s sure testimonies for their heritage and the ground of their hope. None need be ashamed of holiness, which is the ornament of God’s nature, of his renewed hearts, his church, and his heaven
