And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14, 15.

'Tis the blessed hour of prayer, when our hearts lowly bend,

And we gather to Jesus, our Savior and Friend; If we come to Him in faith, His protection to share. What a balm for the weary! O how sweet to be there!

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24.
