We also believe, and therefore speak.—2 Corinthians 4:13.

DO I find that my faith is, through grace, a sovereign cordial to my courage and strength as a soldier of the cross, and a powerful antidote against the despondency and sadness which trial and sorrow tend to produce? In the hour of temptation am I sustained by faith, and so kept faithful in duty? And believing myself, do I endeavor to lead others to the same faith, that they may partake of its blessings?

Faith, resting calmly upon God, is victorious over all besides. It is God who fights for the believer, with the believer, and in the believer. Faith does nothing alone, or of itself, but everything under God, by God, and through God.—STOUGHTON.
