Forward With Christ In

A.W. Tozer · 16:29

Understanding who Christ is and His role as the head of the church is essential for our relationship with God and our purpose in the church.
In this sermon, the preacher emphasizes the importance of total commitment to Jesus Christ. He warns against making the Christian life too easy and highlights the radical nature of following Christ. The preacher emphasizes that the church should rest entirely on the Lord Jesus Christ and not rely on any additional 'pluses' or additions. He discusses the various aspects of attachment to Christ, including intellectual, emotional, exclusive, inclusive, and irrevocable attachments. The sermon encourages believers to have a sanctified will and a complete commitment to Jesus Christ alone.

It is a privilege for me and an honor. It is an honor that I have not earned and that I don't deserve, but one might argue that you're bored. Now there's one very apt in total commitment, and if I had chosen it, that's the one I would have.

The first chapter, it says, Who is the image of the invisible God, visible and invisible, whether they be. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church, that in all things he might.

For it pleased the Father, that in him should all things be. We must look at who Christ is in the passages which I have given. It is that whose soul abides in the body and in the church.

And then there is the next word. And then there is that word. Is he alive or is the man who spoke about him gray-haired and said, One thing, twenty minutes on your knees in silence, that we are.
