The Unsaved Pastor

I have visited churches Through the years and I sat in wonder as I listened to the pastor I was not in wonder over his wonderful preaching But in wonder at how the people of his congregation Could sit beneath such deception and a false ministry Bring the following message friends with the plea and hope That the unsaved will turn to God in repentance and faith My subject today is the unsaved pastor and I speak from experience friends Having been myself an unsaved preacher the gospel for many years Until God and his mercy showed me I was lost and that I deserved hell and by his grace He saved me and brought me to Christ Listen friends I pity the congregation that sits beneath an unsaved man as their shepherd For they will be unsound as well as the blind lead the blind and both fall into a ditch in This case the ditch and pit of hell itself The people who sit under an unsaved pastor will sit upon false foundations themselves for neither knows vital Christianity But only the devil substitute the devil can be transformed into a Angel of light and deceive you into believing you have faith in religion When you do not possess Christ an unsaved pastor will lead his goats across rocky terrain Climbing up the wrong hill in an approach to heaven Which will lead eventually only to a cliff with unstable footing and a headlong fall toward perdition An unsaved pastor will never properly point his people to heaven But he can only point them to hell Because an unsanctified man cannot work the work of God But only work the works of darkness as he serves his father the devil An unsaved pastor will keep you in your sins while he promises you peace peace When there is no peace for the wicked an unsaved pastor will keep you a servant of Satan as You believe you serve God in your capacity at church duties Yet your life is a receptacle of uncleanness Continually for out of the heart precede evil thoughts Murders adulteries fornications thefts false witness blasphemies An unsaved pastor will corrupt your family with the seeds of false religion And if you remain under his ministry He will ultimately ruin you and join you in hell Where his name will be on your burning lips as a cuss word throughout eternity An unsaved pastor can walk the extremes of being a frivolous Entertaining preacher who keeps you in stitches and entertains you to be in a somber religious Pharisee who denounces all who do not comply with his set rules for religion an unsaved pastor will give frequent gospel invitations that lead many into false professions and then he will seal your doom by continually giving you a false assurance of your salvation when all you have are doubts about it and Unsafe pastor would rather speak to you about sports and entertainment rather than discuss deep spiritual concerns about the soul and Eternity an unsaved pastor will avoid preaching on the doctrines of repentance regeneration and Sanctification an unsaved pastor can be very evangelistic and very mission-minded And he can be promoted within his denomination to great positions of authority Because the devil has his servants in high and influential positions He can serve as a seminary president or as the president of a denomination For the more individuals this man can corrupt the happier the dirty devil is an unsaved pastor will tell you very plainly how to receive Jesus and go to heaven and Make it such a simple plan to swallow that you will be surprised how easy it is to be saved all you have to do is make a public decision for Christ and agree to a few texts and Repeat the sinner's prayer and you will be saved An unsaved pastor will never tell you that you first must get lost before you can be saved and that you must Repent except you perish. He will point you to a text about Jesus But he won't point you to Jesus who is the only one who can save you from hell's fires An unsaved pastor will present a bloodless gospel And an impotent Savior and a God who will not punish sin an unsaved pastor has never himself been washed in the blood and born from above an Unsaved pastor will exchange legalism for holy living Reformation for regeneration and church duty for discipleship An unsaved pastor will talk about the need for revival But will never lead his people in a solemn assembly before God Through nights of desperate prayer and humility before the Lord in a earnest seeking of God to send revival and if a revival broke out in his church the unsaved pastor would fight against it tooth and nail and undermine the work An unsaved pastor has never been lost Never felt Holy Spirit conviction for sin has never found Christ and has a form of religion Without the power thereof. He knows nothing of a experimental knowledge of Jesus Christ And he knows even less about the heart of God and he is absent and void of the indwelling spirit of God An unsaved pastor has religion without life profession without possession and Christianity without Christ Heaven help the poor sinners who sit under such a man and call evil good and good evil An unsaved pastor is a deceived man full of self-righteousness Who pins his hope of heaven on the boasting and pride of what he has done and accomplished for God? An unsaved pastor will live for the compliments of men and preach for their acceptance of him And in closing friends an unsaved pastor's religion is vain and void of the life of God in the soul of man He knows nothing about a living union with a living Lord Believe now friends.

It is time to quiet ourselves before the Lord and pray for the salvation of unsaved pastors That they will be awakened to their lost condition That they will experience conviction a sin that leads to repentance and that they will seek God in all earnestness Until they receive the grace of saving faith and find Christ as the pearl of great price Let us pray
