Which we treasure so deeply, so lovingly in our hearts. The one cry of her heart when she knew that she would cross the river and pass away from our fight for a little while, was that those who were left behind should not own their love, fully but obey him and the voice of his servants. I cannot better express her message to you all than in the words which she so sweetly spoke sharply before her departure as a message to her only brother, his glad son, my love.

Tell him to love God wholly and to serve him always. Tell him to obey him whom God has given to rule over him. And then he kissed me and said once more, Father, I am so sorry I disobeyed you, but God has forgiven me and you have forgiven me, and I know it in my heart and I am not afraid.

Father, sing for me, lead kindly, lightly, draw me on, and I sang, and they asked God to give us as we came, as we sang. Good night, beloved, sleep and take thy rest. Lay down thy head upon thy saviour's breast.

We love thee well, but Jesus loves thee best. Good night, good night, good night.
