In our worship, in our lives, in our communities, the single most important thing that will draw men and women to Christ and to strengthen the body of Christ is to hold up Christ, to have Jesus be everything, to be able to talk about his greatness, to tell of his works and to explain his glory, not bringing him down, but bringing those up to him. There's a temptation in our modern Christianity to want to soften the message, because, well, you know, you don't want to be telling people that they should stop sinning, or you don't want to be telling, because you're going to offend them. No, no, we hold up Christ.
When he is the center of everything, everyone is drawn to him. That is absolutely the critical issue. So many things else is being held up, but if we hold up Christ, then the world will know, and they will all come to him.
I think that's the most important thing.
