The reason that the church in America is in the state that it is right now, the primary reason is because of the lack of preaching of holiness. The message of holiness has largely been been dubbed legalistic, outdated, unnecessary, even unloving and unkind. But only the holy are going to enter heaven.
Jesus is coming for a pure and a spotless bride. In these times that we are moving into, you need to be walking rightly before the Lord. The sin needs to be out of your life.
I don't know where you're at spiritually, but this is not an hour to be playing games with sin. This is not an hour to be trying to serve God and have one foot in the world at the same time. Those who try to do this are not going to make it when the fire really gets hot.
Fear is going to overcome you. Hypocrisy is going to be exposed. We can't just expect to roll out of bed one morning and be godly.
We can't just expect to live in front of the television, eating potato chips and complaining about how bad the world is, and expect to make it when things really get difficult. We have to be preparing ourselves day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year, dying to the flesh, walking in the spirit, obeying God, choosing the truth over falsehood, choosing the narrow path over the broad one, so that when persecution really comes to our doorstep, we have the courage to stand. And as God brings us through one trial and one difficulty and one challenge, because we take a righteous position, it gives us confidence that the next time he's going to do the same thing.
