Well, I've noticed things in the book of Revelation that do change in our eternal home, so I want you to think of them for a minute. Revelation chapter 3, Revelation chapter 3, introduction to the city, verse number 12. Revelation 3 and verse 12, last book in our Bibles.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out. And I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God. And I will write upon him my new name.

Now over to chapter 20, please. Excuse me, chapter 21. Revelation 21, there's three times references made to the city coming down.

We're going to look at them. Revelation 21 and verse number 1, and I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Look at these lovely things that are said about the city. This is where we're going to be spending eternity. Just keep that in mind.

Verse 3, and I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men. Notice all of the pronouns, he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people. I love this, and God himself, no distractions, okay? God himself shall be with them and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, write, for these words are true and faithful.

Back to the throne sitter, God, verse 6, and he said unto me, it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him, notice, that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh, now this is not the sinner that's being referred to here. The thirst is linked with the believer. The sinner is going to be referred to in the end of the chapter, verse 20, chapter 22.

Here's the believer with an eternal thirst. Verse 7, he that overcometh, there's always going to be this sense that we're going to be overcoming. I shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

You know that last word there in verse number 7, son? You take all of the writings of John. Take the gospel of John, first and second, his epistles, and revelation. This is the only time that he uses the word that is used for Christ.

He uses it here for you and I. All the other time that John refers to sons, it's really children. It's a different relationship. But there is something so unique about that eternal city.

No more the idea of children, more or less. God is saying, you're going to be like my son. Like the Lord Jesus.

Think of that for a minute. Just think of that relationship, how close it's going to be. But here's what else I want you to notice as time is going.

Chapter 22, look at verse number 1. And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding. This is something that never ends. Proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, there was there the tree of life, which bear, the tense is again, which is always bearing twelve manner of fruits, and yield it. It's always ongoing. Yield it her fruit every month.

And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it. And his servants shall serve him.

We're never going to end serving. Never. It's amazing to think.

My brother mentioned, will you be bored in heaven? You're going to be too, look, you're going to have so much water to drink. You're going to have so much fruit to eat. You're going to be serving constantly because we want to discover that there's no night.

What am I trying to tell you? There's no end to it. It will never come to an end. What we are just starting to enjoy on earth, Christ.

That relationship that we've been encouraged by many messages throughout the weekend to preserve it and to go closer to Christ. Listen, there's never going to be a point in eternity when you're going to be at the end of it. Always.

Ages upon ages upon ages. With no night. You'll always be just constantly getting closer and closer and closer and closer and closer and closer.

And it's never going to end. And the river of God, here's a house with a water problem. It's a good one.

The pure river of God. Constantly just bubbling. Refreshing.

It's the idea of refreshment. Nothing's stale in eternity. Months.

People try to tell us there's no time in eternity. God says every month. See those trees lining the streets of gold? Every month.

Fresh fruit. Fresh fruit. A variety.

All kinds of it. Tremendous to think of, isn't it? Dear child of God, help us this afternoon as we close the meeting. Let us never lose heart.

God has got tremendous things for us. And a home that we'll never grow tired of. We'll look around and wherever we look, there'll be fresh things, new things.

Always springing before us, Christ. And that relationship, God says, I'm going to be your God. And you're going to be my son.

And that will go on for all of eternity.
