ἕβδομος, η, ον Adj seventh
Strong's Definition
ordinal from 2033; seventh
KJV Usage: seventh
UBS Dictionary of the Greek New Testament
adjc. | -η, -ον | ἑπτά
1 JUD 1:14 In the more general manner of counting an ordinal series, ἕβδομος in JUD 1:14 would really refer to the sixth descendant from Adam. In the Hebrew system of counting, Adam himself would be counted as part of the series, and hence the use in JUD 1:14 of ἕβδομος rather than ἕκτος.
