to think about, to consider to process information by giving consideration to various aspects In a number of languages the concept of thinking is closely related to terms referring to perception. For example, in some languages one may speak of thinking as ‘to see with the heart’ or ‘to look at with the liver.’
1 It is possible that ἐμβλέπω[b] differs somewhat in meaning from βλέπω[d] in focusing the thought processes on some particular object or matter, but it is difficult to determine this on the basis of existing contexts. 2 MAT 6:26 It is possible to regard ἐμβλέπω in MAT 6:26 as involving a combination of seeing (see 24.9) plus intellectual activity.
