For ἐ . of travelling on business, as in Jas_4:13 , see the question addressed to the oracle of Zeus at Dodona, Syll 800 (iii/B.C. ?) ἦ τυγχάνοιμί κα ἐμπορευόμενος κτλ . The verb has nothing to do with πορεύομαι : its meaning is entirely determined by ἔμπορος (see below), but, had there been no πορεύομαι , the verb would more probably have been ἐμπορέω , cf. Moulton Gr. ii. § 118( a ).
