ἐμπορεύομαι. For ἐ. of travelling on business, as in Jas 415, see the question addressed to the oracle of Zeus at Dodona, Sy// 800 (iii/B.c. 2) ἢ τυγχάνοιμί κα ἐμπορευόμενος κτλ. The verb has nothing to do with πορεύομαι : its meaning is entirely determined by ἔμπορος (see below), but, had there been no πορεύομαι, the verb would more probably have been ἐμπορέω, cf. Moulton G*. 11. ὃ 118(@).
