ἐξαυτῆς. For this late Greek word (= ἐξ αὐτῆς τῆς ὥρας) found six times in the NT, we can supply an almost contemporary instance from P Lond 893° (A.D. 40) (published in P Ryl IT. p- 381) καλῶς m[Lorm]oes ἐξαυτῆ(ς) πέμψας μοι τὸν μεικρόν. See also P Ryl II. 236% (A.D. 256) ποίησον δὲ ἐξαυτῆς ὥμους δύο ἐλαιουργικοὺς κοπῆναι, “have two beams (?) cut at once for oil-presses’’ (Edd.), P Tebt II. 421° (iii/A.p.) | (= Selections, p. 106) ἐξαυτῆς ἅμα τῷ λαβεῖν σε ταῦτά pov | τὰ γράμματα γενοῦ πρὸς ἐμέ, P Oxy I. 645 (iii/iv a.D.) ἐξαυτῆς παράδοτε, “deliver at once.” The word is fully illustrated by Wetstein ad Mk 635.
