to go down, to go down upon to go down or to sink down, especially of the sun in relationship to some event or state In a number of languages it may seem very strange to speak of ‘the sun going down upon one’s anger.’ A more natural and more meaningful equivalent may be ‘do not be angry all day long’ or ‘do not be angry even until sundown.’
