περιοχή , in the literal sense of compass, circumference, occurs quater in connexion with certain measurements of a piece of land in BGU II. 492 (A.D. 148 9) : cf. also the late P Hamb I. 23 .20 (A.D. 569) μετὰ τῆς καθόλου αὐτοῦ περιοχῆς , mit allem was dran und drum ist (Preisigke). For the use in Act_8:32 of a passage (of Scripture) see the reff. s.v. περιέχω , and cf.
