For the late use of ὕπαρξις to denote substance, property, as in Heb_10:34 , cf. P Oxy X. 1274 .14 (iii/A.D.) τὴν ὕπαρξιν αὐτοῦ πᾶσαν οὖσαν τιμήματος δουκηναρίας , all his property valued at two hundred thousand sesterces (Edd.). Cf. Teles p. 43 .9 ἢ ποία χρημάτων ὕπαρξις <τῶν > τοιούτων ἐπιθυμιῶν ἀπολύει ; In MGr ὕπαρξι means existence.
