Eternal Supremacy

1 sermons

Eternal Supremacy is a profound theme woven throughout Scripture, emphasizing the preeminence of Christ and God's ultimate authority over all creation. Colossians 1:17 declares, "He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together," affirming that Christ is not only central to the universe but also sustains it by His power. This supremacy is echoed in Ephesians 1:22, where Paul states that God has placed all things under Christ's feet, signifying His authority over every realm, both seen and unseen. Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 15:28 reveals the culmination of this supremacy, where all things will be subjected to Christ, and He will ultimately present the kingdom to the Father, establishing God's reign as "all in all." The biblical narrative consistently points to the sovereignty of God, as illustrated in Psalms 103:19, which proclaims, "The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all." In recognizing Christ's eternal supremacy, believers are called to live in light of His lordship, as Philippians 2:10-11 emphasizes that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Thus, the doctrine of Eternal Supremacy invites us to worship and submit to the One who reigns forever, assuring us of His ultimate plan for redemption and restoration.

H.J. Vine preaches about the eternal supremacy of the Son, who is subjected to Him by God, as shown in 1 Corinthians 15:28. Despite Satan's attempts to destroy the Son's work and degrade humanity, the Son's sacrifice on the cross brings man to higher glory and reconciles a holy God with His creation
