Spiritual Judgment

1 sermons

Spiritual judgment, a fundamental concept in Christian theology, refers to the evaluation of an individual's spiritual state and actions by God, with the ultimate goal of refinement and sanctification. According to the Bible, spiritual judgment is a process that begins in this life, as believers are called to examine themselves and judge their own actions, as seen in 1 Corinthians 11:31, which states, "But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged." The Bible also teaches that spiritual judgment is a ongoing process, with God working all things together for the good of those who love Him, as expressed in Romans 8:28, and that believers can trust in God's goodness and guidance, as proclaimed in Psalms 23:1, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." Through spiritual judgment, believers are able to discern their spiritual condition, repent of sin, and grow in their faith, ultimately becoming more like Christ.
