In Scripture, hands are often symbolic of divine care and protection. The Psalmist exhorts worshipers to "lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord" (Psalms 134:2), while also praying for God's hand to establish the work of their hands (Psalms 90:17). Isaiah reassures God's people that He has engraved them on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16), and encourages them not to fear, for He will strengthen and help them with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10, 41:13). This imagery conveys God's intimate and powerful involvement in the lives of His people.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish for us the work of our hands— yes, establish the work of our hands!
Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and tells you: Do not fear, I will help you.
The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
