In the face of challenges and hardships, believers are encouraged to persevere and trust in God's sovereignty. According to James, trials can refine faith and produce endurance, as believers learn to approach difficulties with joy and humility. The apostle Paul, in Romans, reminds us that all things work together for good for those who love God, and warns against those who cause divisions and obstacles in the church. Isaiah and Paul's writings, including 2 Corinthians, also emphasize God's ability to remove obstacles and use weaknesses for His glory, as He did with Paul's thorn in the flesh, demonstrating His power and grace in the midst of adversity.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them.
And it will be said, “Build it up, build it up, prepare the way, take every obstacle out of the way of My people.”
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me. That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.
For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and will not delay.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
