Context — Redemption for God’s People
19I will return Israel to his pasture, and he will graze on Carmel and Bashan; his soul will be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and Gilead.
20In those days and at that time, declares the LORD, a search will be made for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found; for I will forgive the remnant I preserve. 21Go up against the land of Merathaim, and against the residents of Pekod. Kill them and devote them to destruction. Do all that I have commanded you,” declares the LORD.Cross References

Jeremiah 50:19 Summary
This verse is a beautiful promise from God to restore his people, Israel, to a place of rest and abundance. Just like a shepherd leads his sheep to green pastures, God will lead Israel to a land of fertility and prosperity, where they will be satisfied and content (as seen in Psalm 23:2-3). This is a reminder that even in the midst of difficult circumstances, God is always working to redeem and restore his people, and that he will ultimately bring them to a place of spiritual satisfaction and joy. As we reflect on this verse, we can trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, and look forward to the day when he will bring us to our own 'green pastures'.
