Leviticus 23:36 Summary
This verse is talking about a special time of celebration and worship called the Feast of Tabernacles, which lasts for seven days and ends with a solemn assembly on the eighth day. During this time, the Israelites were to present offerings by fire to the Lord and rest from their regular work, just like God rested on the seventh day of creation (Exodus 20:8-11). This feast was a time for the Israelites to remember God's provision and protection, and to dedicate themselves to Him, and it can be a reminder for us today to trust in God's goodness and provision (Psalm 23:1-4). By following God's commands and celebrating His goodness, we can deepen our relationship with Him and find rest in His presence.
