Leviticus 7:34 Summary
In Leviticus 7:34, God is saying that He has taken a special portion of the sacrifices, the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the peace offerings, and given them to Aaron and his sons as a permanent gift. This shows that God cares for and provides for those who serve Him, just like He provides for us, as seen in Matthew 6:25-34. It's a reminder that God is our Provider and Caregiver, and that He wants to take care of all our needs, including our physical and spiritual needs, as seen in Philippians 4:19. By giving this special portion to Aaron and his sons, God is showing us the importance of supporting and caring for those who serve Him and minister to us.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the significance of the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the peace offerings in Leviticus 7:34?
These offerings represent a portion of the sacrifices given to God, and He has designated them as a permanent portion for Aaron and his sons, as seen in Leviticus 7:34, to provide for their livelihood and to acknowledge their role as priests, as referenced in Numbers 18:8-10.
Why did God give these specific portions to Aaron and his sons?
God gave these portions to Aaron and his sons as a way to provide for their needs and to acknowledge their dedication to serving Him as priests, as stated in Leviticus 7:35, and as a reminder of their anointing and ordination, as seen in Exodus 29:1-37.
