01.01. Property Given To Religion

PROPERTY GIVEN TO RELIGION The firstborn of man and beast was by Divine requirement given to The Lord (Exo 13:2). In addition to this the Hebrews were required to give, 1.one-tenth of the products of their land (Lev 27:30);

2.    one-tenth of the increase of flocks and herds (Lev 27:32-34);

3.    a special tithe every third year (Deu 14:28-29);

4.    to the poor at all times (Deu 15:7-11);

5.    according to their ability when they attended their annual feasts (Deu 16:16-17);

6.    the first fruits of the land (Exo 22:29; Deu 26:1-11).
