Job 36

AOSN

Job 36:4

one who is perfect in knowledge is with you: Elihu probably was claiming to be sincere or that his logic had no flaw.

Job 36:7

The Bible teaches that God always watches over the righteous (2 Chronicles 16:9; Psalms 33:18; 34:15; 1 Peter 3:12). This idea addresses Job's frustration about God's surveillance (Job 7:17–21).

Job 36:11

If they obey and serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity: This is a true biblical principle of dedication to God (repentance) (see 11:13–19; 22:21–25; Deuteronomy 4:30; Jeremiah 7:23; 26:13).

Job 36:12

die without knowledge: See also 4:21; Proverbs 5:23; 10:21.

Job 36:31

The Hebrew yadin typically means he judges or he governs. But some commentators propose an alternate reading, yazun (meaning "he nourishes"). This aligns with the theme of God's provision (Job 38:26; Psalms 65:9–13; 104:13–15, 27–28). The more common meaning of yadin is “judge,” which would mean that God does all things to bless his people and judge his enemies (Job 37:11–13; 38:22–23; see Genesis 6:17; 19:24; Exodus 9:23–25; Joshua 10:11–14; 1 Samuel 12:18).
