1 Chronicles 7:1-40

Conclusion: (1 Chronicles 7:22). It is often the burden of those who live to be old that they see their children go before them. It is a brotherly and friendly office on the part of the Christian, to comfort such in their afflictions with the Word of God.

Striking Facts: 1 Chronicles 7:21. Ephriam had been promised a seed that should become a multitude (Genesis 48:19) and here the promise seems defeated. God’s providences many times seem to contradict His promises, but eventually God makes the promise more illustrious by wonderfully fulfilling it.
