Isaiah 31:1-9

Contents: Judah again warned against the Egyptian alliance. Jehovah’s defense of Jerusalem.

Conclusion: It is gross absurdity to forsake the Rock of Ages for broken reeds. If men will not court God’s wisdom and power to act for them in the time of danger, they will find it to act against them, though they have the strongest of men to aid them. Make not man your confidence, for man can do nothing without God.
