Fullness of the Holy Spirit

10 sermons

The concept of the "Fullness of the Holy Spirit" is a central theme in the Bible, particularly in the New Testament, where it refers to the complete and utter surrender of a believer to the will and work of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). This fullness is characterized by a deep sense of joy, peace, and love, as well as a boldness and confidence in sharing one's faith with others, as seen in the lives of the early disciples (Acts 2:4, Acts 4:8). The apostle Paul writes about being filled with the Spirit in Ephesians 3:19, where he prays that believers would be filled with all the fullness of God, and in Romans 8:28, he notes that those who are filled with the Spirit are able to trust in God's sovereignty and provision. As Psalms 23:1 reminds us, when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we can declare that the Lord is our shepherd, guiding and directing us in all aspects of life.
