Responding to Slander

0 sermons

Responding to slander is a significant concern in the Bible, as believers are often called to endure false accusations and malicious speech with patience and faith. According to Psalms 23:1, God is our shepherd who guides and protects us, even in the face of slander, and we are to trust in His goodness and sovereignty. The apostle Peter advises believers to "not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing" (1 Peter 3:9), demonstrating the importance of responding to slander in a Christ-like manner, and as Romans 12:14 notes, we are to "bless those who persecute us" and trust that God will ultimately vindicate us. By responding to slander in this way, Christians can demonstrate their faith and trust in God's providence, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
