15 Bible Verses on Buying a House

15 verses

Scripture teaches that a home is a blessing from God, and its acquisition should be guided by wisdom and faith. In Deuteronomy, God promises to bless the homes of the obedient, filling them with abundance. The prophets, such as Isaiah, envision a future where God's people dwell in peaceful and secure homes. Practical wisdom for acquiring a home is offered in Proverbs, which advises preparing a field, or in this case, a life, before building a house, as seen in Proverbs 24:27, and also emphasizes the importance of wisdom and knowledge in establishing a home, as stated in Proverbs 24:3-4. Additionally, Psalms encourages believers to delight in God and commit their ways to Him, trusting in His provision, as expressed in Psalms 37:4-5.
