In times of uncertainty and doubt, God's people are repeatedly encouraged to trust in His presence and power. The prophet Isaiah comforts believers with the assurance that God will strengthen and help them, urging them not to be afraid or dismayed. Similarly, Joshua is commanded to be strong and courageous, and the Psalms express confidence in God's deliverance, with the writer of Psalm 34 seeking the Lord and being delivered from all his fears. The apostle Paul also reminds Timothy that God has not given him a spirit of fear, and David declares that the Lord is his light and salvation, of whom he should not be afraid, as expressed in Psalms 27.
