13 Bible Verses on Spirit of Fear

13 verses

In God's wisdom, believers are not given a spirit of fear, but rather one of power, love, and self-discipline, as seen in 2 Timothy 1:7. Instead, fear is often portrayed as a hindrance to faith, with 1 John 4:18 teaching that perfect love casts out fear. Romans 8:15 and Isaiah 41:10 reassure believers that they have been adopted into God's family and can trust in His presence, dispelling fear. By bringing their worries to God in prayer, as Philippians 4:6-7 instructs, believers can experience peace that transcends understanding, freeing them from the grip of fear.
