In the Bible, women are portrayed as valued and integral members of society, created in God's image and endowed with dignity and worth. The book of Proverbs commends the virtuous woman, describing her as one who fears the Lord and is blessed with a gentle and quiet spirit, as seen in Proverbs 11:16 and 31:30. The apostle Paul instructs older women to teach and mentor younger women in Titus 2:3-5, while also emphasizing the importance of respectful learning in 1 Timothy 2:11-15. Throughout Scripture, women are shown to be capable of great wisdom, courage, and faith, as exemplified in Proverbs 14:1, where a wise woman builds her house.

Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good. In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, managers of their households, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited.
Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
A woman must learn in quietness and full submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman who was deceived and fell into transgression. Women, however, will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
The LORD God also said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.”
Better to live on a corner of the roof than to share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
In the same way, the women must be dignified, not slanderers, but temperate and faithful in all things.
