13 Bible Verses on Young People

13 verses

Scripture places a high value on the potential and spiritual development of young people, encouraging them to set an example in their speech, conduct, and faith, as seen in 1 Timothy 4:12. The book of Ecclesiastes reminds them to remember their Creator in the days of their youth, as stated in Ecclesiastes 12:1. God's faithfulness and provision are also emphasized, as in 1 Corinthians 10:13 and Jeremiah 29:11, which offer hope and assurance for their future. The Psalms, such as Psalms 119:9, provide guidance on how young people can stay pure and focused on God's Word.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.
Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen.
Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
