2 Chronicles 28:9 Summary
This verse tells us that the LORD allowed the Israelites to defeat the Judahites because of Judah's sin and disobedience, as seen in 2 Chronicles 28:3. However, the Israelites took things too far and slaughtered many people in their rage, which displeased God. This teaches us that even when we are right, we must act with self-control and kindness, remembering that God is a God of love and compassion, as shown in John 3:16 and 1 John 4:8. We must strive to balance our emotions and actions, seeking to honor God in all we do, just as the prophet Oded urged the Israelites to do in this verse.
