13The blood on the houses where you are staying will be a sign; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. Exodus 12:12 Summary
This verse, Exodus 12:12, tells us that God was going to pass through the land of Egypt and bring judgment on all the firstborn males, both humans and animals, because Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go. God was showing His power and authority over all of Egypt, including their gods. This event was a significant part of the Passover, as seen in Exodus 12:11-13, and it reminds us of God's mercy and love for His people, as seen in Deuteronomy 7:6-8. By trusting in God's power and promises, we can have confidence in His presence and protection in our own lives, just like the Israelites did during the Passover.
