Context — God’s Angel to Lead
23For My angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I will annihilate them.
24You must not bow down to their gods or serve them or follow their practices. Instead, you are to demolish them and smash their sacred stones to pieces. 25So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take away sickness from among you.Cross References

Exodus 23:23 Summary
In Exodus 23:23, God promises to send His angel before the Israelites to guide and protect them as they enter the Promised Land. This verse reminds us that God is always with us, fighting on our behalf, and that we can trust in His power to overcome any obstacle (as seen in Romans 8:31 and Psalm 46:1). Just as God was faithful to the Israelites, He is faithful to us today, and we can have confidence in His presence and guidance in our lives. By trusting in God's power and presence, we can overcome the challenges we face and live a life that honors Him.
